As I recall “pulling a Ron” was what Hermione spent most of Half-Blood Prince trying to do.
LMAO, indeed!
For the record, the seven classes are spread out across 2 days. We specifically hear Ron complaining about the Monday schedule, which only contains History, Divination, Potions, and DADA.
Also, Dumbledore has been headmaster for 39 years or so, since the implication is that he stepped up when McGonagall took over Transfiguration “39 years this December.” (Ignoring the McG apocrypha, since it’s retconned every couple years.)
We know nothing about Flitwick’s age or who hired him, nor about Umbridge. Though I always thought of her as plausibly in her 50s, so on the cusp of having McG as her teacher.
Snaps for Sierra’s “I have a theory!” answer re: Hermione saying “Voldemort.” I agree, I think the fear was created, as she socialized with people who were afraid to say it, and let it build up into A Thing for herself.
I loved Ev’s point that Harry’s Patronus lessons are actually a big improvement on Lupin’s! He not only picked up how to teach, he improved upon it! What a great parallel. And Reason Number Bajillion and One why he should have been the dada professor.
Oh, and Ev’s sponsorships are EPIC!
