Episode 33 – Percy Jackson Crossover Part 2: A Big Fetch Quest for the Big Bad

Join hosts Irvin and Sierra, and our guests Patrick Musilek and Mayuri as they discuss the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series, TV show, and the musical and compare it with the Harry Potter series.

In this episode:

  • People would listen to Trelawney’s prophecies if they rhymed
  • Lucius and Narcissa’s bedroom plot
  • Which prophecies provide more ambiguity? More choices?
  • The Book Two Blues
  • Voldemort is a Batman villain
  • Was Bianca fridged?
  • Does our guest have a heart?
  • How dark is too dark in a visual adaptation?
  • The TV show isn’t impertinent enough. The musical is.

If delving into the Celtic calendar is too much, I realised later there’s a much simpler way it could work (imagine that: me, overcomplicating things). Draco was born 7 months after the prophecy was given.

Aha! Seven months! If it’s seven, gotta be the answer to everything 🙂
