Great podcast, as always and I’m looking forward to the third installment. I especially liked the reference to Star Trek’s “The Inner Light”— one of the best episodes of Star Trek: the Next Generation. (It was, among other things, the one Patrick Stewart listed as his favorite.) The idea of these vivid illusions being indistinguishable from real life connects back to Dumbledore’s classic line: “Of course this is happening in your head, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?” If you don’t mind me linking to another podcast, that episode and its connections to Potter were discussed extensively on this Potterversity episode on Trek-Potter connections.
